Sanity
The CMS behind every site we run: a separate project per brand, with content models defined in code.

How we use it
Sanity is the content system behind every Metavision site, including this one. Each brand has its own Sanity project, with the schema defined in code alongside the site, so products, episodes, characters, legal pages and these very reviews are all structured content rather than hard-coded pages.
Publishing a change in Sanity triggers a rebuild on Netlify, so a page goes live a minute after you hit publish, and we can edit content directly from Claude through Sanity's MCP connector.
The verdict
The most flexible CMS we've used; worth the learning curve if you run more than one site.
What we like
- Content is properly structured and reusable across pages and sites.
- The schema lives in code, so content models go through the same review as the rest of the site.
- Publish-to-live in about a minute when paired with build hooks.
What we don't
- Its AI connector (MCP) is reliable only in small batches of three or four documents; bigger batches can fail without an obvious error.
- Drafts and references have sharp edges: a link to an unpublished document has to be saved as 'weak', and the Studio flags the mismatch until both sides are published.
- The Studio auto-updates at runtime, so your local version and the hosted one can drift until you upgrade.
Best for
Developers running several content-driven sites who want a flexible, code-defined CMS.
