Netlify
Hosting, serverless functions and deploy previews for every site we run, including this one.

How we use it
Netlify hosts every site in the Metavision estate, including this one. Each brand is an Astro site that builds from GitHub, with Netlify Functions doing the server work: contact forms, newsletter signups, Stripe and Printful webhooks, and the redirects behind the buttons on this page.
The feature we lean on most is deploy previews: every pull request gets its own live copy of the site to check before anything reaches production, which is how changes to this site are reviewed.
The verdict
Still our default host for every new site, despite a few config traps worth knowing about.
What we like
- Deploy previews on every pull request.
- Functions sit next to the site, with no separate backend to run.
- Custom domains and HTTPS certificates are close to automatic.
What we don't
- Secret environment variables have to be set per deploy context; setting one for 'all' contexts can fail silently.
- Some netlify.toml settings, like per-function memory, are quietly ignored, so you only find out when a heavy function dies.
- A function's own path setting and a netlify.toml redirect can cancel each other out, leaving a clean build that 404s.
Best for
Developers running static or hybrid sites who want hosting, functions and deploy previews in one place.
